Jon joined Compass Light in 2013, upon completion of a degree in New Media at the University of Maine. He hails from the island of Islesboro, in Maine's Penobscot Bay, and has always found home to be where the ocean is. Jon has worked on an assortment of video projects; most have focused on the arts—from the traditional arts to interpretive dance, as well as the art of parkour/free running. Always eager for a new challenge and to push the limits of his abilities, Jon is always willing to take on new projects and is rarely found without a camera. His skills include video production and editing, glidecam handling, animation, graphic design, and still photography. He is a self-proclaimed “tinkerer.” His passions include filmmaking with his handy glidecam, contra or swing dancing, and seeking new roads on his motorcycle. To Jon, the entire world is open space that must be explored.
