in Production (2020-2027)
It has been said that “what happens in the Arctic does not stay in the Arctic.” When it comes to the climate crisis, this is particularly true. Our ARCTIC EARTH PROJECT represents an initiative and commitment to position a Compass Light high-latitude professionally crewed sailing vessel in the Labrador Sea, Baffin Bay, and beyond for five years (2022-27). This platform will be the basis for seasonal crews conducting natural history film, scientific, and carbon drawdown work. Organizational partners are Conservation Media Group, BlueMarvel, and others in the Arctic Council with whom we have worked over the years. Supported operations will include scuba surveys and underwater cinematography, UAV aerial surveys and cinematography, profiling CTD and water sampling PLUS underwater acoustics. More to come.
