Eli Kao is a producer and writer whose experience ranges from mentoring community media-makers in the Boston area to producing network shows for millions of viewers across the Asia-Pacific region. He grew up in midcoast Maine and is excited to be back re-exploring this beautiful part of the world. Eli began his career at Cambridge Community Television, where he facilitated video production and TV broadcast for a diverse, multilingual community. Prior to joining Compass Light, he lived and worked in Taiwan, where he worked as a producer of science and technology programming at one of Asia’s largest independent production companies. He has produced, directed, and scripted award-winning programs for Discovery Networks and the National Geographic Channel. A graduate of Williams College, Eli also studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music, and has a master’s in International Communications from National Chengchi University in Taipei. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish... with an accent.
